Only having 9 men for the match, it was always going to be a struggle for Bayfield in their first match at their new Woodsetts ground. After losing the toss and being put into bat, Bayfield started well enough, but a middle order collapse and the usual blatant cheating from the opposition's "neutral" (!) umpire, had to settle for 113 for 8 off their 44 overs. With only 9 men in the field, Bayfield never looked like stemming the flow of runs, or even of taking a wicket, and Harley comfortably reached their target with some 16 of their 44 overs remaining.
